Romanian player sold for a chunk of meat

A new transfer record was set in Romania back in 2010 - for the most expensive footballer sold in return for pork.
Defender Marius Cioara was sold to Regal Hornia for 15kg of sausages. He retired a day later after 24 hours of taunts. Regal Hornia demanded a refund, and Cioara went to work on a farm.

Man on the Run from cops for nothing for 20 years

Bennie Wint was convinced that the cops were after him for drug-related charges when he faked his death in 1989. So convinced, that he staged his drowning death in Daytona Beach, Fla., leaving his fiancé and then-four-year-old daughter completely oblivious to his plan and, ultimately, heartbroken. He then took off to Alabama (is that really the best you could do, Bennie? Alabama?) and began a new life under the name of William Sweet. He married another woman and had a son, and spent his days running a flea market stall in North Carolina (better).

About 20 years later, he was pulled over by the cops in the good ol' state of NC for a blown-out light bulb on his car. When he gave his fake name, nothing came up on the computers, so Bennie was forced to give his real name and tell his whole story—only to find out that he was never wanted for anything. That's right, Bennie threw his whole life away for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

And this, kids, is why you shouldn't do drugs.
