Man Marries Dead Girlfriend In Joint Funeral And Wedding Ceremony In Thailand

A man recently married his deceased girlfriend in a combination funeral and wedding ceremony. Chadil Deffy, also known as Deff Yingyuen, placed a ring on the finger of Sarinya "Anne" Kamsook, his girlfriend of 10 years, during the ceremony in Thailand's Surin province. The couple had planned to get married in the future, but Yingyuen wanted to focus on his studies before tying the knot, the Thai-Asean News (TAN) Network reported. Unfortunately, Kamsook unexpectedly died in an accident before the couple could set a date. According to the Pattaya Daily News, the couple met at Thailand's Eastern Asia University nearly a decade ago, and wreaths were placed around campus in memory of Kamsook following her death. Photos and footage of the ceremony were posted on Facebook and YouTube. And while some thought the service a bit strange, others expressed their sympathy for the groom. "...I didn't know her, but in your photos, she looks young and full of life. I can't image the impact her death has caused in the lives of her loved ones. It was a very moving gesture of love, very moving. It makes you rethink a lot of things in life, things you take for granted," Facebook user Alejandra Yanez wrote in spanish on Yingyuen's page. Onsiri Pravattiyagul, a friend of the groom, wrote an opinion column addressing Yingyuen's intentions and the media speculation his story has prompted. The piece, featured on the Bangkok Times, included the following: Chadil wrote matter-of-factly online -- and would later give interviews in the same vein -- explaining that the motivation for this display was guilt, pure and simple: He felt he hadn't done enough for his girlfriend of 10 years while she was alive. Before her sudden death in a road accident, she had suggested that he marry her. But he had demurred, putting the idea on hold. The "wedding" was his attempt to right a wrong, however belated the gesture might have been.

2011 in Retrospect

In January, i had the opportunity of participating in the Voter's registration exercise and was posted to "Mallam Yero" an interior vilage in Taraba where i had to stay for over 2 weeks with someone special God sent my way who became my backbone.
In March, the major disaster was the 9.0 earthquake in Japan which caused a typhoon and an eventual release of radioactive substance causing more damage.
In April, i was priviledged of participating in the Election proper headed by Prof Jega, which was adjugded as the most free and fair election in the country.
In May, the man behind the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center attack, Osama Bin Laden was captured and killed in a secret US mission after 10 years of rigorous search.
In July, i lost a close friend and student of mine during the service year, Doko Aondofa In October, I completed my NYSC and returned home.
The painful thing was getting close to someone days before my departure, whereas i had been waiting for months to achieve that. I'll definitely miss my peeps, all those who made the experience memorable, they know themselves.
As a result of the arab uprising, former Libyan leader of 42 years, Col. Mouhammar Gaddhafi was captured and killed by opposite rebel groups against his governement. This is none the less after fellow arab counterparts from egypt, yemen, kuwait, bahrain, syria had faced the same fate with some been ousted eventually.
The 2009 christmas day attempted bomber, Nigerian Abdulmutallab was tried in court, with his sentencing in 2012 where he faces multiple counts charges and eventually life imprisonment.
In November, Michael Jackson's personal physician, Dr Conrad Murray was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment for his negligence in the singer's death back in 2009. Celebrities that passed away included american singer Nate Dogg and british singer Amy Winehouse.
Cupid caught up with me and the emotional side of me i never knew existed was unleashed, and it consumed me and left me defenceless. I hated this period, but no regrets whatsoever. Big thanks to Sixpence None The Richer who made my year with some exciting songs. (Kiss Me, Breathe Your Name & Don't dream its over).
I lost all my script and other write ups, this was devastating for me as i had to start what i had almost completed all over again. As of 31st of December, i've been trying to recover all my scripts. I'll get back at you on that one. I actually didnt get them back.
With me chatting up with celebrities like Osita (PawPaw) Iheme & Chika Ike and then sighting Chinedu (Aki) Ikedieze, Rukky Sanda, Ebube Nwagbo and a few others. Luvly moments were all this as i would join the rank someday.
No doubt this year was the most memorable and adventurous in my life, I figured out who i really am and what i want to be, who i want to be with. I also did some things i'm not so proud of, but i have 2012 to right all wrongs.

Man swallowed 6-Inch nail thrice

A Chinese carpenter is recovering in hospital after swallowing a six inch nail - three times. Li Xiangyang, 48, of Huangshi, Hubei Province, was holding the nail between his teeth when he suddenly coughed and swallowed it. He was taken to the nearby Wuhan University Hospital in where doctors x-rayed him and found the nail was in his right lung. Realising it had to be removed immediately, Professor Hu Ke fed a fibre-optic bronchoscope down his throat to pull it out. But, just as he was on the verge of pulling the nail out of his mouth, Li coughed again and sucked it back down his throat. This time it ended up in his left lung. Professor Hu tried again but, at the last minute, Li involuntarily swallowed and the nail disappeared again. Doctors couldn't find the nail in either lung and eventually realised that it was now in his stomach where it was finally removed with a gastroscope clamp.

NJ Cop Got Drunk to Teach Police DWI Class, Then Got a DWI

If Joseph Gaeta of the Midland Park police had been aware of this rule, he may not have been busted for driving under the influence. He volunteered to get drunk during a DWI class at the Bergen County Police Academy so fellow officers could see how he responded to sobriety tests. When he hit a .13 blood alcohol level, class ended and a fellow officer drove him home. He didn't stay there. No, Joseph Gaeta hopped on his 4-wheel ATV, according to the Associated Press. He illegally drove the vehicle on city streets and then crashed while making a turn. While Gaeta was taken to the hospital with serious facial injuries, the Record reports that Midland Park Police Chief John Casson made the call to cite the officer for a DWI. Though the department has every right to cite Gaeta for driving under the influence, the Police Academy may not be without legal blame. Joseph Gaeta was on duty when he became intoxicated. He was also under the care of academy instructors. Though the school safely transported Gaeta back to his home, it may have had a further responsibility to keep him safe. It was arguably negligent to leave him alone while he was so drunk. He knew he was above the legal limit, but drunk persons are known for overestimating their capabilities.
